The List

Saturday, June 26th, 2004

No, it’s nothing to do with that photo. That’s just what free drinks look like, and my mild surprise that their presence doesn’t excite me the way it used to. We’re talking seriously premium beers here, too. Oh well.

The List, is the tally of things I need to do in the next 3 weeks. You know, before hopping on the plane. There are quite a few things that still remain and I need to keep them somewhere. This’ll be nice because I can update it from just about anywhere.

Including that cool looking bar.. ——–>

Get some kind of crazy power socket adaptor thingy so I can use my phone charger. Thank god for 240VAC/50hz.
Get phone numbers of all the hostels (no really, all of them) and put them into my phone.
Make list of things I’m taking with me.
Get a Lonely Planet guide?
Backup phone contents.
Make this CSS layout better.

Get travel insurance (www.worldnomads.com) DONE!
Install a new IMAP server at home so I can unfirewall it and not worry about getting 0wn3d. DONE!
Buy that cool mapping program Feedback anyone? Nope
Reduce dependence on phone.
Get flash cards for camera (prob. in Seoul)

For the love of the internet…

Just had to change

rm -rf /var/spool/qmailscan/quarantine/new

to

find /var/spool/qmailscan/quarantine/new/ | xargs rm -f

In the cron because we’re trapping so many viruses each day that it’s overloading the command line.

Put it into perspective.
~15,000 viruses being received on our server and quarantined each day.
Around 18kB each.
~300MB per day
Or
9 gig a month!

That’s seriously out of control. Lucky we don’t pay for our bandwidth…
